Blessed is the Christmas Season!

It is that special time of year. It finally is Christmas Day! Over the past few weeks, Christmas music has been playing in the background at the office. The bells of the Salvation Army ring in unison near store entrances, and people have huge smiles for both friends and family. We even enjoy the get together with the neighbors. We have a big dose of that holiday feeling.

It is indeed Christmas and we have great joy! Just before the Christmas family dinner, we each pause a moment and count our blessings our collective freedom. We think of our military personnel who are off in distant lands or at bases, ships, and air stations and we wish they were home. But we all realize they have a job to do. They guard our beliefs and our democracy.

As 2012 has unfolded, we at The hCard have thought of our service personnel as well. We have purposely created mobile apps that are filled with savings and discounts for all who serve in our Armed Forces. It is our privilege to share this opportunity with those who serve us every day without question.

The hCard and More is in Store for ’13

Over the past year, your hCard Team has grown in both community and focus to better serve businesses and individuals with national and local discounts, business community partnering, and fundraising. We want to grow even more in support of community in 2013 with a continuous alignment of relationship building and sharing, both locally and nationally, across the country.

More and more, The hCard is growing in stature and in opportunity. Because the foundation of what we do is grounded in an array of social causes, we have attracted much interest as we continuously develop our mission and core values.

One key aspect of what we do is completely web-based with a menu of mobile applications that are offered free to our military, firefighters, police and sheriffs, and community volunteers. We also have continued our long term commitment to discounts, coupons, and savings with a broad array of nationally and regionally known retail, product, and service local businesses.

It is through the hard work and efforts of our Founder/President, Sandra Burnett, that all of our vision is possible. She indeed had developed a simple formula of love and commitment of community that is even more heightened this time of year during the Holiday Season. Sandra’s strategic partnering with very recognizable brand names and her never ending insight into community services have pioneered ThehCard into the deals’ business with a community heart.

It is the Season to Give and Receive! YES! Receive Mobile Apps Powered by The hCard!

For The hCard and for all of us, it is the Holiday Season and we are surrounded by good will and the wonderful Christmas classics on the radio. It is one of the best season to be community-focused and thankful for our health and our freedoms. As we gather at Christmas Tree lightings, Children’s Choir, evening parties, and church and synagogue services, we are grateful for all we have here in the USA.

This morning, as the police and firefighters in a nearby town cleared the main intersection from a traffic accident, we didn’t give them much thought other than the fact that our destination was being delayed by the unexpected jam up.

Across the vast oceans and countryside, it is a cool morning in Afghanistan as our soldiers, our sons and daughters, fight the haze and the high altitudes near Kabul to defend our freedoms.

And in schools across the country, volunteers deliver dictionaries and read stories to primary school children as their day of education and learning begins.

These are often the unsung heroes. And we all know that we often take many of their activities for granted. But each individual serves a dynamic role in making America better.

For those who serve this Holiday Season, we as civilians can indeed give back in appreciation for all they do. We offer free mobile apps to all in uniform and in spirit who make us better.

Giving Thanks and Giving Back with The hCard

November is the month for both sharing and remembering. The month started with the commonality of all of us voting for national and local leadership, and we just recently remembered all those who have served with Veteran’s Day. The month concludes with what possibly is for many the most favorite of holidays, Thanksgiving Day. From our earliest history of Plymouth Rock and the Pilgrim celebration of harvest to what we have today in 2012, it is a day filled with family dinner, celebration and thankfulness for what we have in life.

The hCard is a family too. Our guiding principles center around the love and appreciation we have for others as well as our continued support for the local community and our continuing focus on  personal freedom.

The hCard’s Community Mobile App Program is a clear example of this blend of purpose, and we align our mission with businesses that feel the same way we do.

This Thanksgiving when we gather to give thanks for all those who keep us safe, we will focus on the Firefighters, Police, Sheriffs, our Military and our community volunteers who serve behind the scenes doing their duty here in our communities and across the globe.
